May Mead Madness

Welcome to the 7TH Annual May Mead Madness presented by the New Bern Brew Club,  Alcohol Through Fermentation (ATF). We have been hosting the event along with a Bar-B-Que in May for the last 6 years. This year we will have a Chili cook-off on Sunday May 20, 2007 along with the awards ceremony
.
 We are a AHA and BJCP sanctioned event.

Entry fees are as follows

   $6.00 for the 1st entry.
   $5.00 for each additional entry.
Please make checks out to :Tim Martin (ATF)

2 bottles per entry
Brown Bottles free of any markings
12 to 16 ounce bottles
Labels are the standard label and can be found at the AHA web site. Entry recipe forms are available here. Labels should be attached to bottles with rubber bands, no tape. Bottles with taped labels will be disqualified.

PLEASE NOTE: ALL MEADS WILL BE STORED AT AMBIENT ROOM TEMPERATURE AND WILL BE JUDGED AT AMBIENT TEMPERATURE.
The judging will be held on Saturday, May 19th, 2007 and will start at 10:00 A.M. sharp. The awards ceremony will be held along with the Chili Cook-off on Sunday, May 20, 2007. This event will start around 1-2 P.M. and continue till we run out of gas or beer.

We are always looking for judges and we will have some beds for judges available.
